Welcome to my website.  Writing is my favorite passion, that is besides my husband, (wink, wink).  Never mind, it's just me trying to be funny.  Let me tell you about myself.

As I said, I'm married, have raised three great kids.  I live in Orlando Fl. with my two cats Chip and Dale, and hubby of course.  I've always loved writing; I just never knew I could become a pro.  As a teenager I wrote short stories that never sold.  This dilemma brought me to the conclusion that I may love to write, but I'm not very good at it.

It wasn't until many years later that by chance my friend Jane and I were out for dinner one night.  We were discussing my phantom writing career, when a nearby gentlemen overhearing our conversation offered me the opportunity to write his story.  Turned out the man was Vic Prinzi, a Pro football player who took on the job of Sport director of a boy's juvenile detention facility in Marianne Florida in 1961.

I had no idea where to start, since I had only written short stories.  But Jane and I put our heads together and wrote Coach in Cottage C.

Then came "Goodbye Danube".  This is another true story of the Hungarian Uprising in 1956 Budapest.  It tells the story how a family of six escape the clutches of the communist regime.  I know this story well; my husband was one of the four children who fled with his parents and siblings.   This book initiated my curiosity to dig for details and ask questions that encompass doing research.  I have found it fascinating that the technology we have today can infiltrate any subject you can think of. Although surfing the internet can be an infuriating endeavor at times as well as an educational instrument of knowledge.

Because I enjoyed all the necessary research, I knew that writing historical fiction was my forte, especially in the 1800's America.  Which is where "If Tomorrow Could Sing".  Below, I've added a review of that book.  I'm currently writing another historical fiction "Georgianne", or "Roads to Freehold" a tragic love story set in 1870, Freehold New Jersey. I will keep you posted when that is published.  You may purchase any of my books on Amazon.  I'm working on getting the price of the books lowered for you. That's all for now.  Have fun exploring my site.

Never intended to take this long for my next blog, but I'm from a generation that didn't grow up with computer knowledge.  So, this blogger couldn't figure out how to navigate this site.  I finally talked my fourteen-year-old grandson into creating a site I can manage with my aging brain.

Anyway, I promise from now on I'll try to add a blog message every month, or if a month's been boring, I may say so. Though things around here are seldom boring.  Especially with two cats like Chip and Dale.  They are adorable, and I love them to death.  But they can also be hell on me, and my work.

They are eleven years old, and from day one when I adopted them at nine weeks old, I have let them know that my desk and laptop are forbidden territory.   Still, to this day, every night when I sit at my desk I'm accompanied by Chip, or Dale, and every night it's the same routine, I chase them, but Chip is like a yo-yo, he's back up on the desk one second later.  I believe he thinks I'm just playing a game.  But they are the sweetest when they snuggle up under my chin when I'm in bed.

I'm here wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.  I love it, the yummy food, the family, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.  It just wouldn't be thanksgiving without the parade.  Then the day after we put out all the Christmas decorations, including the tree.  I love everything about Christmas, it's my favorite time of the year.

I'll see you all again next month.

It's December, my favorite time of the year. It always has been, all my life, maybe my obsession has something to do with the fact that the stork didn't bring me to my mom, but Santa did.  Yeah, I know believing in Santa and the Stork is kind of lame coming from an adult.  But hear me out, I have good reason for my dilutions, I was born on Christmas day.  It's true, and I love everything about the season.  From the music, decorations, Christmas trees, reindeer, sleds, and gifts to those we love.

Right about now I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the preparations. The shopping making a few craft gifts, writing out Christmas cards, and trying to keep my two adorable but inquisitive cats, "Chip & Dale", away from the Christmas tree.  Over the years we've learned to tie up the tree, due to one year when the knocked down our seven-foot tree.   Lost a lot of ornaments that year.  Anyway, I'm sure a lot of you are feeling as frazzled as I do.  Yet I still wouldn't change a thing about this time of year.  Just like I will never keep putting a pair of socks in each of the stockings I hang.  I've been doing it for all of my kids' life, even now though they are adults who still want their stockings.

A big reason for my joy at Christmas, are my parents.  They've both passed now but I have a lot of tender memories of my Christmas' past. My favorite was the year my mother woke me, and my brother after they had chased us to bed on Christmas eve.  She told us that Santa had just left, and would we like to see what he left for us.  Of course, but I was miffed, I had looked out my bedroom window, trying to catch a glimpse of Santa and his sleigh, having failed in my quest, I finally gave up the investigation.  Now she tells me he just left.

Then coming to the end of the hall, I saw my dad sitting on the sofa, he was talking to someone.  Could Santa have come back for something he forgot?  But the bubble was burst, although I was happy to see them, it was my aunt and Uncle my dad was talking to. I asked my mom why she woke us if Santa wasn't here.  She replied that my father who was a New York City Fireman, wasn't going to be here Christmas morning because of his work schedule, and he wanted to be with when we opened our gifts.  There just something magical about being woke up like that.  It was also the year I got a shiny red and white two-wheel bicycle; it was my ninth birthday.

I wish you all very merry Christmas, good health, and many blessings.
